Greens: the fastest growing political force in the country

Tomorrow, South Australian voters have a genuine alternative to the old parties, and can join over million voters Australia wide who vote Green, says Greens MLC Mark Parnell.

This election the Greens have run on a positive platform of green jobs, water security and ensuring a better government.

Greens MLC Mark Parnell is hoping to be joined in the Legislative Council by at least one new Green colleague, alongside a strong increase in the Greens vote across the State.

“More Greens in State Parliament will give even more strength to our vision of a fairer and more sustainable South Australia,” said Mr Parnell.

“Regardless of who becomes our next Premier, the Upper House will continue to play a crucial role in reforming legislation and keeping the government to account.

“With a finely balanced Legislative Council, many votes in Parliament are won or lost by the narrowest of margins.

“I urge all South Australians to consider a fresh, positive alternative to the old parties and vote for the fastest growing political force in the country – the Greens,” he said.
